”Shining City”
A Drama by Conor McPherson
Directed for The Rep by Jeanne Skattum
March 9-10, 15-17 & 22-24 with curtain at 8 o’clock each evening.
Set in Dublin, Shining City is the story of a guilt-ridden man who reaches out to a therapist after seeing the specter of his recently deceased wife. Wrestling with his own demons, the therapist can only do so much to help.
Haunted by ghosts - both natural and supernatural - their routine visits quickly become a gripping struggle to survive.

With a story drawn from James A. Michener’s Pulitzer Prize-winning 1947 book “Tales of the South Pacific”, this musical, set in an island paradise during World War II, sensitively and candidly explores the issue of racial prejudice through the telling of two parallel love stories.
Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and winner of 10 Tony Awards including Best Musical and Best Score.

2012 Ten Minute Play Competition Announced
The board of directors of The Rochester Repertory Theatre have announced the theatre’s 2012 Ten Minute Play Competition for new and emerging playwrights.
With a central goal of supporting new and emerging playwrights as they experiment with a highly challenging art form, the theme of this year’s competition is “Reflections In A Mirror”.
Selected scripts will be showcased in a stage production planned by The Rep for July 2012.
